Overview
This hands-on training course, targeted at experienced VMware Infrastructure 3 administrators, covers installation, configuration, and management of a VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM).
The course focuses on the delivery of virtual Windows® desktops using the VDM connection-server.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, you should be able to:
- Create an Active Directory infrastructure for virtual desktops
- Apply Group Policy Objects and roaming-profile technology in a VMware virtual desktop infrastructure
- Create and manage Windows XP and Vista virtual desktops using VMware VDM 2.0.
- Administer a variety of client devices: PCs and thin clients
- Use VMware Update Manager (VUM) in a VDI
Target Audience
Systems administrators and systems integrators experienced with VMware Infrastructure 3 who are responsible for their organization’s deployment of VMware virtual-desktop technology.
